A lifetime of learning

Fishing as a whole is a life long learning experience that is seemingly endless. Us fly anglers can embrace fly tying as an extension of our lifetime learning experience. When you start tying flies entomology, materials (natural and artificial), hooks (and how they’re sized), and fishing history. This keeps us anglers always learning and engaged with the activity we are so passionate about.

The wings are for the angler..

We anglers put a lot of effort into aspects of our flies that have little to no impact on how productively it fish’s. This is fueled by us anglers burning desire to create complex flies that are visually pleasing to not only fish but also the human eye. Without question, many of these flies could be easily considered art. However we’ve never heard of any another artistic medium where it’s creators find rational reason to eagerly tossing their work into the water only to be snagged on a log.

The fly anglers perfect winter hobby

With cold winter conditions and little to no fly fishing opportunities for many it can be easy to develop cabin fever. Rather than fall into a slump get cozy and keep the stoke for fishing alive as you refill your box’s for the upcoming season.
