What types of fish are caught on VTCF trips?

The fishing in Vermont is diverse and provides us with the opportunity to chase many different species of fish.

As Vermonters, we’re especially passionate about the trout that inhabit our waters. We often target native brook trout, along with wild and stocked rainbow and brown trout.

Other species include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, chain pickerel, fall fish, Atlantic salmon, and lake trout. At different points of the year, many of these fish are easily targeted with a fly and very fun to pursue.

Let’s maximize your time on the water.
